EATING OUT IN DARTMOOR
Dartmoor Food & Drink
Although we do not offer an evening meal unless you have booked one of our crafting breaks, Princetown is lucky to have two good local Inns providing an excellent choice of dinning menu along with local beers (we have both a brewery and a distillery in the village).
If you prefer to eat midday, the Old Police Station Cafe or the Fox Tor Cafe are both very popular and provide traditional lunch time menus with a smile.
The Two Bridges Hotel 10 mins along the road is more “up market” and you need to book a table, but for a special occasion or treat, it is well worth the effort as is a table at Prince Hall Hotel.
In our local town of Tavistock there is a market everyday of the week except Sunday and Monday, were you can buy all manner or food and a lot of local crafts and cake!
We have a specialist Cheese shop which is worth a visit, it sells lots of lovely local cheeses. Tavistock has a range of restaurants, Inns and takeaways so you could never go hungry.
